Golf stretches!?

What are some good golf stretches to do before goin to the driving range then goin to play in a tournament to maximized your perfomance from the start. dont just tell me to stretch my back that tells me a lot give me steps to do and more then one stretch.

stretch 1: Find an anchored pole or something solid that you can grab onto with both hands. Grab it as if you are holding it like a baseball bat at just below shoulder height. Lean away from the pole with your butt sticking out. You’ll feel a great stretch in the shoulder blade area.

stretch 2: Same pole. Stand with your back to it, rotate to your right and grab the pole with your left hand without moving your feet. Rotate the opposite way and repeat the stretch on the other side. Another great back stretch.

stretch 3. Same pole. Grab it with one hand at a full extension of your arm and rotate your body away from the pole. You’ll feel a great stretch of your pecs.

I’m sure you know the basic groin stretches so I don’t think I need to go into those. These three are great for your core and upper body.

When I go to the range I stretch my back and crack my back. I just rotate my body keeping my feet planted squarely on the gorund, and rotating my upper body as much as I can side to side.

Then I stand up straight and without bending my legs I touch my toes. Just the standard stretch, but it works fine.

Next i’ll stretch my arm over my head as far as I can go where my elbow is resting behind my head, do this for both arms.

Then I just take a club in one hand and just swing it around paralell to my body on each side.

For my calves if they tighten up during a round, go up to the cartpath and with your heel on the path put your toes up on the curb, and just slighty move your weight forward until you feel your calf stretching.

I dont do all these stretches everytime, but more if a certain part of my body is tight, then i’ll use a particular stretch. But these are good stretches to know and do.
