What are the best stretches to do before a golf game?

I always end up in such pain afterwards. What do I do?

Do whatever you have to do to stretch the muscles in your back–upper and lower. Stretch the muscles in your left arm (if you play right-handed) too (very important). If your hands (fingers) ache, then stay hydrated and take Advil before and/or after your round or practice routine. Individually wrap the base of your first three fingers of your dominant hand (and index finger of the other hand) in some sort of foam tape before heavy practice. Plus, use a glove.

There were times when my hands would ache terribly the morning following my usual iron practice. It wasn’t from the bleeding, it was the joints of my middle fingers that would hurt so bad. Fluids and Advil was found to take the pain away so I could practice again.

Your joints (especially your shoulder). Also, your back. If you ask how to stretch, just stretch until you feel mildly soar during the stretch. Your back and shoulders are your priorities.

Stretch out your arms before swinging the club. You would want much movement in hitting the ball. Make sure you don’t over do it. I’m a trackrunner I know already.

The best thing to do is to try relaxation therapy before any game. I think you are overstressing yourself before every game.
